Dr. Kathleen Scheid
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF SECONDARY EDUCATION
Dr. Kathy Scheid is the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education for Pennridge School District. Dr. Scheid is a former Director of Curriculum, Instruction (Instructional Technology), and Assessment, Principal, Special Education Supervisor, Reading Specialist, Special Education Teacher and General Education Teacher. She earned a doctorate at Widener University and has earned Graduate, under-graduate degrees and administration certifications at Holy Family University, The University of Pittsburgh, and Temple University.
She is married to an educator, has three daughters, all of whom are classroom teachers and three beautiful, creative grandchildren.
Her passion as an educator is to ensure that all students leave high school as fully literate citizens.

Howard Vogel
MATHEMATICS SUPERVISOR, K-12

Howard Vogel has been in administration for nineteen years, the last 16 with the Pennridge School District as a Principal and Math Supervisor. Prior to being in administration Howard was a high school math teacher for Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Flemington, New Jersey. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Kutztown University, a Master’s degree in Education from Holy Family University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University. He lives in nearby Doylestown with his wife and two sons.

Sarah Raber
RELA SUPERVISOR, K-12

Sarah Raber was a middle school educator for 11 years, and spent the last 6 of those years as a Reading Specialist at Pennridge South Middle School. Prior to working in Pennridge, Sarah has taught English and Reading in Allentown, PA and Wilmington, DE and worked as a Literacy Specialist in New York City. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English Education from the University of Delaware and Master’s degrees from Columbia University in Reading Specialist and Wilkes University in Educational Leadership. Sarah has a passion for literacy and a love of education. She lives in Allentown with her husband and three sons.

Megan Boletta
SCIENCE SUPERVISOR, K-12
​Megan Boletta completed a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-veterinary Medicine and Master’s degree in Secondary Science Education from the University of Delaware as well as a Master’s degree from Delaware Valley University in Educational Leadership. Prior to working in Pennridge, Megan taught Biology, middle school science, and served as a Mobile Fab Lab Program Coordinator. She is passionate about science education and bringing authentic, meaningful, and memorable experiences into the classroom for all students. Megan lives in Ambler with her husband and two daughters.

Keith Veverka
SOCIAL STUDIES SUPERVISOR, K-12
Keith Veverka has been a K-12 educator for 22 years, his most recent 14 years as a Social Studies Supervisor for the Pennridge School District. Keith began his career teaching social studies in Fauquier County, Virginia and taught at Pennridge Central Middle School before moving to the High School in 2006. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education and received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership (Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology) from Delaware Valley University. He lives in Warrington with his wife and children.

Cara Gurysh
COORDINATOR OF BLENDED LEARNING
Cara completed her undergraduate work at Lock Haven University, holds a Master’s Degree in Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education from Rutgers University, and earned her administrative certification from Delaware Valley University. Prior to joining Pennridge in 2007, Cara taught in public schools in New Jersey and served as a curriculum consultant for a private school in Pennsylvania. While at Pennridge, Cara taught in the high school social studies department before becoming a technology coach. In her current role she works to develop the district’s cyber and blended learning program. Cara enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling with her husband and three children.

Erin Reichert
ELEMENTARY ACADEMIC COACH

Erin completed her undergraduate work at Shippensburg University and holds a Master’s Degree in Classroom Technology. Erin has been an elementary school teacher in the Pennridge School district since 2006. In 2016, she joined the curriculum office and enjoys working with students, teachers and staff members in providing ways to use a variety of technology resources in the classrooms.
Erin is married with 2 children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, and loves to travel!

Chris Brockman
SECONDARY ACADEMIC COACH

Chris Brockman has worked in the Pennridge School District since 2006 and in public education since 2003. A trained Social Studies teacher, Chris worked with the passionate 7th and 8th Grade students of Pennridge School District for a number of years before serving as a Media and Technology Integrator at the district level since 2014. Chris earned his bachelors of arts in History and a 7-12 Social Studies teaching certificate from Elizabethtown College, a Masters in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University, a Masters in History from Lehigh University, and is currently working toward a PhD in History at Lehigh University.

Nicole Mascione
ELEMENTARY LITERACY COACH

Nicole has been teaching literacy at the elementary and middle school levels for sixteen years. She has spent the last three years at Sellersville Elementary and before that taught in Langhorne and York, PA. She received her Masters in Education with a Reading Specialist's concentration from St. Joseph’s University and a Bachelor's degree from York College of Pennsylvania.
When she is not in the classroom you can find her spending time with her two kids and her husband. Some of her other interests include cooking, spending time at the beach, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers!
Nicole has a passion for literacy and believes that there is nothing more powerful than getting lost in a book. She hopes to help instill a love of reading and writing in students and teachers lives.

Dana Pivnichny
ELEMENTARY ACADEMIC COACH
Dana completed her undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College and holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arcadia University. She has taught at J.M. Grasse Elementary for the past 25 years, including 22 years in fifth grade. She has been a coach for the Girls on the Run program for many years.
When not completing schoolwork, Dana enjoys running, hiking, the Phillies’ and Eagles’ games, and going to the beach.
As an academic coach, Dana hopes to provide ongoing professional development and guidance for teachers.

Brooke Burgy
SECONDARY ACADEMIC COACH

​Brooke graduated from Temple University with her bachelor’s degree in secondary education/English and earned her master’s degree in curriculum & instruction from Wilkes University. Brooke has taught eleventh grade World Literature at the high school for the past 12 years, and she has also served as an advisor for numerous student activities, such as Key Club and Executive Council. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys travelling with her husband, who is also a high school English teacher in the district, and their children. As the instructional coach for secondary-level teachers, Brooke hopes to help teachers incorporate literacy, the foundation for academic success, into all curriculum units and to provide teachers with “best practices” of instruction to benefit their students.
